Pathway Martial Arts
About Pathway

Built Different. On Purpose.

Pathway was founded on a simple conviction: the martial arts industry deserves better. Better coaching. Better business. Better outcomes for every student who walks through the door.

Our Story

Pathway Martial Arts was founded by lifelong friends who share a conviction that martial arts training can be so much more than what the industry currently delivers. We have trained at gyms where the instruction was excellent but the business was chaos. We have trained at gyms where the facility was impressive but the culture was toxic. We have watched talented practitioners leave the art they love because the environment failed them.

We built Pathway to fix that. World-class jiu-jitsu instruction paired with professional business operations, integrated wellness practices, and a culture built on dignity, safety, and genuine care for every person who trains here. This is not a side project. It is a professionally structured organization designed to serve its members, pay its staff fairly, maintain its facility impeccably, and grow sustainably.

The Team
Harry Moraga, Head Instructor

Harry Moraga

Head Instructor

Harry's role at Pathway is the art itself: curriculum design, belt promotion standards, instructor development, and direct instruction at every level from children's fundamentals through advanced competition prep. His coaching emphasizes structured progression, clear communication, and meeting each student where they are.

Matthew Haney, Director of Operations

Matthew Haney

Director of Operations

Matthew has been on the mats since 2007 and brings nearly two decades of personal training experience alongside deep practice in yoga, breathwork, meditation, and energy work. That combination of combat sports experience and wellness practice is not a marketing angle. It is the lived foundation of Pathway's yin/yang integration. On the business side, Matthew handles the operations, marketing, finance, and administration that most martial arts gym owners never learned to do: the systems that ensure the schedule runs, the facility is maintained, the communication is reliable, and the experience is professional from day one.

Our Philosophy

The word "pathway" is a deliberate choice. A path implies direction, progression, and a destination that is always ahead of you. Martial arts training is not a product you consume. It is a practice you commit to, one class at a time, one month at a time, for as long as it serves your growth. We integrate the intensity of combat training with the wisdom of recovery and awareness because we believe that training only the fighter produces an incomplete practitioner. The strongest version of you is also the most aware, the most resilient, and the most balanced. That is the person we are here to help you become.

Meet the team. See the space. Take a class. No pressure, no obligation.
